[origin: DE19613103A1] Transition metal complexes which can be oxidised in a 1 millimolar aqueous solution electrochemically in the potential range from 0.8 to 1.4 V with maximum current densities of at least 5 mA/cm<2> are used in combination with compounds providing peroxocarboxylic acids in perhydrolysis conditions in oxidation, washing, cleaning or disinfectant solutions. These agents preferably contain 0.0025 to 25 % wt. of such transition metal complexes.
