Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2769354A1] The procedure consists of transferring a quantity of the gas into a thermal compressor in the form of an intermediate container (3), liquefying it as it goes in by means of a tubular heat exchanger (10) containing a coolant such as liquid nitrogen, heating and vaporizing the liquefied gas by contact with a heat source (15), and connecting the intermediate container to the tank when the pressure in the container is greater than in the tank. Both the heat exchanger (10) and heat source (15), e.g. an electric heater, are located inside the intermediate container, which has a domed chamber (20) to receive the liquefied gas, set with a clearance from its inner wall.
