The device consists of a screening material (6) with which floor, wall and ceiling areas of the room are coated. In order to additionally obtain a satisfactory screening effect in respect of windows, for example, the screening device has a blind (7) for each window (3) of the room that is to be screen-protected, by means of which the aperture (2) of the respective window (3) can be blocked, and said blind (7) has a screening coating (8).
