Abstract (en)
An oil filter assembly (28) for diverting oil to an oil cooler (30) and comprising a housing adapted to be mounted on an engine. The housing (34) includes an inlet port (52) for receiving oil from the engine, an outlet port (90) for returning oil to the engine, and a bypass passage (68) that leads to an oil cooler. An oil filter (38) is secured to the housing, and a temperature-sensitive valve assembly (36) is located within the housing and is movable from a cold position to a hot position. <IMAGE>
