The implant has a hermetically sealed housing (11) in which an electronic arrangement and if appropriate further components or units are mounted. The housing has at least one bend (18) in at least one plane whose size is selected so that a tangent to the housing underside at one end forms an angle (alpha) between 5 and 25 degrees with the tangent to the housing underside at the other end in a plane perpendicular to the bend direction.

Medizinisches Implantat, das zur Implantation in einem an der Außenseite der Schädelkalotte, insbesondere im Bereich des Planum Mastoideum, ausgebildeten Knochenbett geeignet ist und ein hermetisch abgedichtetes Gehäuse (11, 11', 11'') aufweist, in dem eine Elektronikanordnung (24) und gegebenenfalls weitere Komponenten oder Baugruppen untergebracht sind. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Gehäuse (11, 11', 11'') in mindestens einer Ebene mit mindestens einer Abknickung (18) versehen, die derart bemessen ist, daß in einer zur Knickrichtung senkrechten Ebene eine Tangente an die Gehäuseunterseite (19) am einen Gehäuseende (20) mit einer Tangente an die Gehäuseunterseite am anderen Gehäuseende (21) einen Winkel (α) im Bereich von 5° bis 25° bildet. <IMAGE>
