[origin: DE19712307A1] Disclosed is a method for adsorbing a load carried by a gaseous or liquid medium, e.g. moisture from a gas flow, by means of an adsorbing agent contained in a screening body through which the medium flows. The medium flows in and out of the screening body in order to provide an energy saving inventive method. The medium infeed velocity on the inflow side and the medium outfeed velocity on of the outflow side remain constant along the entire surface of the screening body which is provided for the medium. The ratio between the depth at which the medium flows through the screening body and the diameter of the flow is as small as possible. The invention further relates to a device enabling said method to be carried out.
