Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9930811A1] The invention relates to a method for reducing nitrogen oxides in an exhaust gas flow, especially exhaust gases from internal combustion engines that are subjected to aftertreatment in a catalytic converter. The inventive method is characterised in that a solid reducing agent is transformed into a gas under the effect of heat and the gas is thermally and/or catalytically broken down in a reaction chamber into reductive products which are then mixed with the exhaust gases which are to undergo reduction.
