Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19706967C1] The invention relates to a device for controlling the fluid supply of a consumer element, comprising a fluid reservoir (14), a fluid supply line (18, 20, 36, 24) leading from the fluid reservoir to the consumer element and a valve in the fluid supply line. The valve element (22) of said valve independently opens the valve opening (20) whenever downstream from the valve the consumer element has used a preset quantity of fluid. Said device is characterized in that the valve is a capillary valve and contains a capillary space (36) positioned downstream from the valve opening and connected to the fluid supply line, said capillary space being partly delimited by the valve element. Said valve element closes the valve opening by the capillary force generated by the fluid in the capillary space when said capillary space is filled with a predefined volume of fluid.
