[origin: FR2761329A1] The invention concerns a method for controlling a motor vehicle power steering, consisting of an electropump unit (9) electronically controlled and comprising a hydraulic circuit with flexible pipes (5), such that, during a transitory phase, when the steering is stressed and the unit (9) serviceable voltage (Um) shifts from a stand-by value (Umin) to a maximum value (Umax), and when the pipes (5) are inflated this serviceable voltage (Um) whether progressively or not decreases to an optimal value (Uop) providing the steering power up to a maximum speed threshold ( OMEGA 1) of the motor vehicle steering wheel, before resuming its stand-by value (Umin) when the vehicle is no longer stressed.
