[origin: WO9842959A1] The invention relates to an electromagnetic control device comprising two multipolar, preferably bipolar electromagnets, which are provided in each case with a magnetic yoke (4) with magnetic yoke limbs (5) and at least one coil (8), together with an armature (1) moving back and forth between the pole surfaces (3a) of both electromagnets. Said armature is brought into end positions by alternate electromagnet switching, at least in the vicinity of the pole surfaces (3a) of the corresponding electromagnet. The armature (1) is connected to a part (40) which is to be driven. The outer magnetic yoke limbs (5) of at least one of the electromagnets move towards each other in the direction of the poles and/or said limbs (5) are tapered towards their ends.
