Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9844449A1] A card-shaped plastic support (2) of a cleaning card for magnetic strip and chip card read-write devices is partially coated with a codeable material and with a soft cleaning material. The cleaning agent consists of a fiber flock comprising densely packed, glued individual fibers (6') protruding from said support in a substantially horizontal manner with a given length and diameter. The codeable material is printed several times as a pigmented silk screen ink in a silk screen process. Specific surface areas for the cleaning material are then coated with a dual component adhesive (8) on at least one side of the card in a silk screen process. Subsequently, the individual fibers are inserted in a substantially vertical manner into the adhesive layer covering the individual surface areas. The flat plastic support (2) with the coatings is subjected to a drying process, whereupon the non-adhering remaining fibers are washed out.
