Abstract (en)
The arrangement has a multiple-element air guiding arrangement (4) in the heat outlet area with an internal hollow chamber (7,8) filled with gas. The outer wall enclosing the hollow chamber has openings (10) which make a connection between the hollow chamber and the outer surface (12) of the air guidance element. An Independent claim is also included for a method of reducing the IR signature of heat outlet areas of the external surfaces of position-variable objects.

Eine Vorrichtung zur Verminderung der IR-Signatur ortsveränderlicher Objekte, vzw. von Landfahrzeugen, soll derart weiterentwickelt werden, daß eine Verminderung der IR-Signatur an Warmluftaustrittsbereichen der Außenfläche der Objekte, insbesondere von Austrittsbereichen aufgeheizter Kühlluft, erreicht wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist hierfür im Warmluftaustrittsbereich (3) ein Luftführungselement (4) vorgesehen. Dieses weist einen innenliegenden, mit einem gasförmigen Stoff gefüllten Hohlraum (8) auf, der von einer Wandung umgeben ist, in der Öffnungen (10) vorgesehen sind, über die der gasförmige Stoff auf die Außenfläche (12) des Luftführungselementes (4) gelangt, wo er eine thermische Isolationsschicht bildet. <IMAGE>
