Abstract (en)
A high pressure fuel pump, e.g. for a diesel engine, has a control duct through the pump piston to control the start and end points of the fuel pulse. The end point is controlled by a sloping duct (7) and is variable through the rotational setting of the piston. A controlled delay in the start of the fuel pulse is provided by a control piston (12) in a control cylinder (10) on the input duct of the fuel pump. The control piston (12) is linked to a drive piston (11) by a control spring (13) for a simple mode of control.

Es wird eine Kraftstoffeinspritzpumpe für eine Brennkraftmaschine beschrieben, die einen in einem Pumpenzylinder (1b) geführten Pumpenkolben (2) und einen von dem Pumpenkolben (2) begrenzten Druckraum (3) zur Förderung von Kraftstoff über einen Förderkanal (9) zur Zuführung in den Brennraum der Brennkraftmaschine aufweist. Zur Verstellung des durch eine in den Druckraum (3) mündende Steuerbohrungen (4a, 4b) überstreichende Steuerkante (6) des Pumpenkolbens (2) definierten Beginns der Kraftstoffeinspritzung ist erfindungsgemäß ein in einer Bohrung (10) verschieblich angeordneter Ausweichkolben (12) vorgesehen, welcher einen mit dem Druckraum (3) der Kraftstoffeinspritzpumpe in Verbindung stehenden Ausweichraum (18) begrenzt und über einen Ausweichhub s verschiebbar ist, wobei Mittel zur Verstellung des Ausweichhubs s des Ausweichkolbens (12) vorgesehen sind. <IMAGE>
