The current contact device has a movable current contact (K1) which in the closed switch position cooperates with a second current contact (K2). This is done via a movable contact bridge (3) acted on by a bias spring (4), which is spaced from both current contacts in the open position of the switch. The movement of the contact bridge is effected via a bridge guide (A), mechanically coupled to one of the current contacts

Eine bewegliche 1. Stromkontaktanordnung (K1) ist im Schließzustand des Stromschalters über eine Kontaktbrücke (3) mit einer 2. Stromkontaktanordnung (K2) elektrisch leitend verbunden, wobei die Kontaktbrücke (3) durch eine Druckfeder (4) beaufschlagt ist. Beim Öffnen des Stromschalters wird die 1. Stromkontaktanordnung (K1) in Richtung eines Pfeiles (5) nach rechts bewegt. Dadurch wird ein endseitiger 1. Schaltkontakt (P1) an der Kontaktbrücke (3) von der 1. Stromkontaktanordnung (K1) getrennt, so daß sich dort ein 1. Lichtbogen (B1) ausbildet. Danach kommt ein elektrisch isolierendes Stromkontaktführungselement (2), welches an der 1. Stromkontaktanordnung (K1) befestigt ist, mit einem nockenförmigen Brückenführungselement (A) an der Kontaktbrücke (3) in Eingriff, was vorher nicht der Fall war. Dabei entfernt sich ein 2. Schaltkontakt (P2) von der 2. Stromkontaktanordnung (K2), so daß dort ein 2. Lichtbogen (B2) entsteht, der elektrisch in Reihe zum 1. Lichtbogen (B1) geschaltet ist und somit die Lichtbogenspannung verdoppelt. Anstelle eines Brückenführungselementes (A) kann an der Kontaktbrücke (3) ein Zapfen befestigt sein, welcher in einem Führungsschlitz verschiebbar angeordnet ist, um welchen die Kontaktbrücke (3) drehbar ist. <IMAGE>
