Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2773717A1] The catheter consists of an impermeable flexible tube (3) which is resistant to traction. It is made at least partly with a thin supple wall (4) with an irregular surface (5) so that if it should suffer a collapse the irregularities ensure that a fluid is still able to flow through it. The tube is made from a synthetic material with a wall thickness of a few microns to a few tens of microns, shaped under heat and pressure on a mandrel to form surface irregularities in a spiral configuration.
