[origin: WO9843718A1] The invention relates to a method for exchanging materials between two liquid phases in two interconnected contact chambers by means of an exchange medium which is brought into contact with the liquid extraction phase in the first chamber and the liquid absorption phase in the second chamber. The material which is to be separated is transferred from the extraction phase to the absorption phase by the exchange medium. The inventive method is characterized in that the exchange medium is divided up by means of a distribution device into the extraction and absorption phases which fill the chambers.
