Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19804553C1] The present invention relates to a guiding roller for web material which comprises two outer tubular sections (2; 2a) as well as an optional tubular section (1) mounted in between. Said tubular sections (1, 2; 2a) are supported on a central axis (3) by ball bearings (5; 7) while the outer tubular sections (2; 2a) are capable of radial displacement relative to the axis (3) at their outer ends. The ball bearings (7) supporting the outer tubular sections (2; 2a) are mounted on a sleeve (20) surrounding the axis (3) from a distance. The sleeve is supported on the axis by its end which is oriented towards the centre of the guiding roller. The sleeve is also capable of radial displacement using a threaded rod (4) which extends radially relative to the axis centre and which engages a threaded area (13a). On the front side, the threaded rod (4) is located on a peripheral surface of the axis (3) or the sleeve (20), or on a resting surface (11) arranged continuously and concentrically. The threaded area (13a) is placed in a support (13) which is mounted on the sleeve (20) or on the axis (3), wherein said support (13) is capable of pivoting about the axis (3) and can be fixed in different pivoting positions.
