[origin: WO9845360A1] An article comprising a core or layer of a foamed material and at least one layer of an unsaturated polyester resin characterized in that the layer polyester is obtained from a polyester resin composition comprising an unsaturated polyester and a monomeric solvent reactive with said polyester, wherein the monomeric solvent comprises styrene and hydroxyalkyl acrylate or methacrylate wherein alkyl is C<1>-<4? and wherein the amounts of styrene, hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate and unsaturated polyester in said composition comply with the following equation (I) in parts by weight: styrene (parts by weight)/polyester (parts by weight) + hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate (parts by weight) = 0.12 to 0.18. A process for preparing such article is also disclosed.
