Abstract (en)
A helmet (1) includes a common unlocking member (22) for commonly unlocking a pair of right left locking mechanisms (21) that lock a subsidiary cap portion (6) at a lower position where it covers the chin of a helmet wearer. A common tractive flexible wire (32) transmits forward unlocking movement of the unlocking member (22) commonly to movable locking members (43) of the pair of right and left locking mechanisms (21). The intermediate portion (32c) of the common tractive flexible wire (32) is engaged by the wire engaging portion (71) of the unlocking member (22). With this helmet, in spite that the mechanism for unlocking the locked subsidiary cap portion is comparatively simple, the unlocking mechanisms can be operated quickly and smoothly. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
