[origin: EP0972649A2] Multilayer sheet material with security marks comprises a sheet of base material and a heat-sensitive layer and has at least one pressure-sensitive layer which produces visible markings when subjected to pressure. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of this material, in which the base material is first provided with a heat-sensitive layer and then coated on the other side with a pressure-sensitive layer from a separately produced coating material.
