Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0973002A2] A slide for the barrel of an automatic pistol has the guide profiles on the top of the piston with outward facing trapezoidal ridges and grooves to grip the corresponding inward facing profiles under the barrel. The trapezoidal flanges are at 45 degrees and provide a self centering support for the slide. The shape of the ridges and grooves allow the use of standard milling tools.
