The breaker switch has a housing (2) containing at least one setting element (1), an electrohydraulic force generation and transmission device, for movement of the setting element and a control device. The force generation and transmission device may employ an electric drive motor (7), a hydraulic pump (8) and a hydraulic cylinder (3) coupled to the switch setting element, the motor operated by the control device upon reception of a remote control signal.
