[origin: FR2758552A1] The invention concerns a method for adsorbing inhibitors of polymerisation of ethylenically unsaturate monomers, which consists in contacting these inhibitors with an alumina, said alumina having a pore volume of diameter greater than 100 ANGSTROM by at least 0.20 ml/g, preferably by at least 0.25 ml/g, still more preferably by at least 0.30 ml/g, and a specific surface area of at least 30 m2/g, preferably of at least 60 m2/g, still more preferably of at least 80 m2/g.
