Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19715115A1] A switch is disclosed for establishing an electric connection between two parts to be connected (4, 5). Conventional switches have a contact lever (1) with a switching contact (2). When the switch is closed, current flows through the contact lever (1). The contact lever (3) must have a low mass inertia for fast switching to take place. This generally results, however, in low current conductivity. The current conducting and contacting functions can be separated by arranging the switching contact (2) on the lever on a separate electric connection device (3). The contact lever (1) thus no longer has any current conducting function and can be exclusively optimised from the mechanical point of view.
