The applicator (7) and storage container (2) are formed as a unit such that the applicator on operation by hand can be moved in and out of the storage container. The applicator for application is outwardly pivotally located. It is located in a cap-type push socket (10). The holder (9) of the applicator has a section with teeth (12), with which meshes teeth (14) of an elastic band (13) longitudinally displaceable from the outside.

Bei einer Mascara-Einheit, umfassend einen an einem Halter befestigten Applikator und einen Vorratsbehälter für Mascara-Flüssigkeit, wobei der Applikator im Lager- und Transportzustand in den Vorratsbehälter eintaucht und zum Auftragen von Mascara aus dem Vorratsbehälter herausbewegbar ist, ist vorgesehen, daß Applikator (7) und Vorratsbehälter (2) als Einheit derart ausgebildet sind, daß der Applikator (7) durch Betätigung mit einer Hand aus dem Vorratsbehälter (2) heraus und in diesen hinein bewegt werden kann. <IMAGE>
