Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0975007A1] The lighting system has a lamp cap with two parts of a case (10a,10b) connected to each other by a detachable catch (22). The first part of the case (10a) has a fastener (24) for a lamp vessel (11) and a high-voltage component (TR) for an ignition device (TR,FS,C1). The second part of the case (10b) is fitted with high-pressure discharge lamp electrical contacts (20), also containing the remaining ignition components (FS,C1) and a voltage transformer (W).
