[origin: WO9846141A1] The invention relates to a device for inserting a suture needle into a surgical (specially endoscopic) suture apparatus. The inventive device consists of two limbs which are connected to each other on one end by means of a rotational axis. Both limbs are guided towards each other and turned by means of a fixed pin located on one of the limbs, said pin running into the hole of the other limb. The device is placed on the suture apparatus and engages into a position, whereby the rotational axis of the mouth pieces of the suture apparatus coincides with the rotational axis of both limbs. The needle to be inserted is clamped in such a way that it already lies on the subsequent needle path. A thread dispenser can be placed on one of the two limbs to enable removal of the surgical suture thread.
