[origin: WO9942623A1] The present invention relates to a method for granulating and grinding liquid slag, in particular slag from a blast-furnace, using water. This method comprises supplying a stream of pressurised water into the slag so that said slag can be ejected in the shape of an envelope (7) about said stream. The device for realising this method comprises a slag container for liquid slag with an outlet opening (2) for said liquid slag. A lance (4) opens in the axis of the slag outlet opening so that the liquid slag can be ejected together with the pressurised water or steam introduced through said lance.
