A communication system comprising transmitting means and receiving means for vocal signals and/or data, said means being connectable via a telephone network to other remote transmitting and receiving means for vocal signals and/or data, reading means suitable for reading data recorded on a data recording support, recognising means suitable for causing said other remote means to recognise said transmitting and receiving means; the apparatus further comprises recording means suitable for storing data received by said transmitting and receiving means via said telephone network on said data recording support.
