[origin: EP0976658A1] The labeling instrument puts, at each operating cycle, a self-adhesive label (16) into an output position underneath a pressure reel (1). The pressure reel comprises a sheath (31) with a cylindrical cover (34), by which the reel is stored revolving on an axis (20). The sheath is equipped with at least one profile ring (32) projecting radial outwards over the cylindrical cover. The profile ring and the sheath are preferably formed as a single-piece.
