[origin: WO9847397A1] The invention relates to a pair of pants (10), especially a pair of men's underpants, comprising a main part (12) and a waistband (14). The main part (12) is of such a size that when the pants (10) are worn as intended at least the side parts (24) of the waistband (14) are located at the level of or above a line (30) connecting the upper edges of the pelvic bones (32). The central area (26) of at least the front part (20) of the waistband (14) is lowered in relation to this connecting line (30). The invention also provides for holding bands (42) positioned in the area of the front part (20) of the waistband (14) and extending downward from this area. Said holding bands (42) delimit a jockstrap (40) and are arranged at a distance (44) from each other in such a way as to be able to keep a penis in a substantially vertical position.
