A device for gluing a strip-shaped path on a machine for making objects surrounded by the path or the path sections has two glue rollers rotating in opposition. The rollers work together along a surface line in whose inlet wedge a seam of glue is formed which can be filled up, and whose state-of-fill can be monitored. A level control device (13) monitors the bead of glue (24) during the machine's stationary state and a water supply aggregate (18) is activated with a decreasing amount of glue. The bead of glue is maintained inside a housing chamber (8) connected to a glue supply (22), which is provided with a source opening (12) facing the level-control device.

Die Erfindung betrifft das Beleimen eines Papierstreifens (26) mittels zweier Leimwalzen (2, 3), zwischen denen ein niveauüberwachter Leimwulst (24) aufrechterhalten wird, aus dem der Leim durch eine Leimauftragswalze (3) entnommen wird. Es ist das Ziel, bei einem Maschinenstillstand eine Verfestigung des Leimwulstes bei weiterlaufendem Leimwerk zu verhindern bzw. die Leimviskosität aufrecht zu erhalten. Erreicht wird dies durch gesteuerte Wasserzugabe über ein Aggregat (18) in dem Maße, wie durch Wasserverdunstung das Niveau des Leimwulstes (24) abnimmt. <IMAGE>
