[origin: GB2324460A] A bracket 6 for use with a tubular upright 1 having a row of aligned slots 3 in its front wall has an upper tongue 7, preferably hook-shaped, with a first portion 12 engaging the rear face of the front wall 2 of the slotted upright between two juxtaposed slots 3 and an arcuate second portion having a surface 10 which engages the rear wall 4 of the upright with a camming action, and may distort it, when the bracket is pivoted in the plane thereof. The tongue is so shaped that the bracket may be inserted into a slot 3 at an angle and then pivoted into a locked position in which the portions 10 and 12 engage as described whereby the tongue is gripped between the front and rear walls of the upright. One or more lower tongues 9 may be provided, having parallel arcuate opposite side edges and which rest on wall 4 of the upright in use. Wall 4 of the upright may have a longitudinal indentation (5, Fig 2) for receiving the surface 10.
