[origin: EP0979628A1] The overhead dispenser is particularly for supplying packaged goods e.g. packets of cigarettes (2) which are stacked one behind another in a sectioned space in the container (1). The packets are removable by the self service user from an opening (3) at the front of the container. Goods carriers (6,6') are supported one above another in the container (1). The front lower edges of the packets define a removal plane (E) which slopes upwards and forwards. The carriers can be pulled out from an operating position within the stacking column (5) upwards and at an angle into a refill position out of the stack.
