[origin: EP0979693A2] The sealing channel making process involves starting with a metal plate of uniform thickness, subjecting it to a rolling process whereby at least two regions (2, 3) of different material thickness are formed, and then deforming the different regions of the plate (1a) to form the completed sealing channel (1), in which the first and second regions are joined by a constantly rising or falling transition region (4).
