The coupling device is formed without any axle part supporting the first and/or second couplings (18, 20) and at least the first coupling elements can tilt relative to the rotary axis (A) about which the bit hub (14) rotates. With each pair comprising a first and second coupling element at least one of the coupling elements of one pair has an insert formation (30) which during displacement of the first coupling element from its release position into its coupling-ready position irrespective of the tilt state of the first coupling element allows the latter to move into the socket opening (52) of the associated second coupling element to produce the rotationally secured connection between these two elements.

Eine Kupplungseinrichtung (10) umfaßt für jeden Zylinderkern (12, 12') ein mit diesem drehfest verbundenes erstes Kopplungselement (18, 18') sowie ein mit einer Schließbartnabe (14) drehfest verbundenes zweites Kopplungselement (20, 20'). Die Kopplungselemente (18, 18', 20, 20') sind nicht durch ein zentrales Achsbauteil getragen und wenigstens die ersten Kopplungselemente (18, 18') können bezüglich einer Drehachse (A) beziehungsweise dem jeweils zugeordneten Zylinderkern (12, 12') verkippt werden. Ferner ist an den ersten und/oder zweiten Kopplungselementen (18, 18', 20, 20') eine Einführformation (30, 30', 56, 56') vorgesehen, welche unabhängig vom Verkippzustand ein sicheres Ineinandereintreten der ersten Kopplungselemente (18, 18') in die zweiten Kopplungselemente (20, 20') ermöglicht. <IMAGE>
