Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0979952A2] The rotary drive has a pneumatic piston (5) axially guided on several guide pins (4) and with a central threaded bore (9). The drive shaft (6) is axially fixed and has an extension threaded into the central bore of the piston. As the piston moves it causes the shaft to rotate. The cover (2) of the pneumatic cylinder is removable for repairs. The cover and its mounting in the cylinder housing, have corresponding grooves to take a circular split ring (13) which holds the cover in place. A pin (20) in one side of the piston runs in a groove in the cylinder and limits the axial movement of the piston in either direction.
