Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0980085A2] The circuit breaker has a fixed contact (5), a movable contact (9) pivotable against two lines (2,3) to provide an electrical connection between them and a blowout coil (20) for magnetically blowing out a light arc (B) formed when the contacts are separated. The blowout coil is switched between a line (3) and a contact element (13) for coupling to the light arc so that after separation of the contacts an electrical connection of the lines occurs via the light arc and blowout coil.
