[origin: EP0980117A2] The connector includes a cable take-up and guide axially fixed in a wrap around nut. The connector has a cable terminal part (2) and a device terminal part (3) or a first and a second cable terminal part. One of these parts has a wrap around nut (4), a fiber take up and guide part (5) , a clamp and connector unit (8) with a cutting clamp (6) and connector elements (7), and a sleeve type connector body (10) with and outer thread corresponding to the inner thread of the nut. The fiber ends to be connected to the clamps and the clamps are at an angle less than 180 degrees. When the nut is tightened onto the connector body, the clamps cut through the fiber insulation and make contact with the conductor. The fiber take up and guide part (5) is axially fixed in the nut (4). Alternatively, fiber guide channels in the take up and guide part run coaxially to each other and are open at the end or open into radially outwardly open contact pockets.
