[origin: WO9850614A1] The invention relates to a gripper weaving machine which has at least one gripper band (1), said gripper band receiving a gripper (1). The gripper band can be driven by means of a drive wheel (9) and is guided out of a shed by guiding elements (13, 15). According to the invention, said guiding elements have guides which are turned against each other and which twist the gripper band (1) essentially around its longitudinal axis (28).
