[origin: DE19720045A1] The invention relates to a terminal clamp for connecting an electric conductor to a terminal lug of an electric contact. Said terminal clamp comprises a lower clamping part (3; 13; 16; 22) engaging the terminal lug (1; 21) or a support element (20) and an upper clamping part (4; 23) attached to said lower clamping part so as to form a clamping channel (5; 27) for the conductor (11; 11a). The upper clamping part (4; 23) has a clamping jaw (7; 24) which can be displaced vertically in relation to the longitudinal axis (A) of the clamping channel (5; 27) using screwing means (6; 25). According to the invention, said terminal clamp is configured in such a way that the conductor (11; 11a) can be reliably connected in a more efficient manner. To this end the lower clamping part (3; 13; 16; 22), the upper clamping part (4; 23) and the terminal lug (1; 21) or support element (20) form a single unit, in which the lower clamping part (3; 13; 16) is connected to the terminal lug (1) or the support element and in which the upper clamping part (4) is mounted on the lower clamping part (3; 13; 16) parallel to the longitudinal axis (A) of the clamping channel (5) in a movable manner and between a receiving position and a selectable clamping position. Alternatively, the lower clamping part (22) and the upper clamping part (23) are mounted in a movable manner on the terminal lug (21) or the support element (20) parallel to the longitudinal axis (A) of the clamping channel (27) between a receiving position and a selectable clamping position.
