Abstract (en)
A strip (1) of plastically deformable material is pleated over its whole surface in a meander, esp. wave-like, zig-zag, or step-shape. Reforming of the pleat at a distance to the longitudinal edges, creates at least one flat section (3) on the strip. The section extends in parts over the length of the strip, so that water drainage channels (5) are formed between the flat section parts. The flat sections are formed esp. by folding, upsetting, or stamping, and pref. have a higher wall thickness than the remaining folded sections, esp. 1,5 to 2,5 times higher.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Dichtungselements bei dem ein Streifen (1) aus einem plastisch verformbaren Material im wesentlichen ganzflächig mit einer mäanderförmigen, insbesondere einer wellen-, zickzack- oder stufenförmigen Plissierung (2) versehen wird und im Abstand zu den Längsrändern des plissierten Streifens durch Umformen der Plissierung mindestens ein flacher Bereich (3) auf dem Streifen ausgebildet wird; sowie ein entsprechendes Dichtungselement. <IMAGE>
