Abstract (en)
The nonwoven disposable tissues (11) are produced from a nonwoven web in stamped or cut outline shapes. The cut or stamped sections are compressed in a compressing mold (20) by a compression piston (22) working at a high pressure. The compressed tissue remains in a compact structure, and only opens out when wetted with a fluid. The nonwoven material is drawn from a supply roll. Where axially symmetrical tissues are to be produced, the material is folded along the center and moved to give only one symmetrical half to view. The tissue section is forced into the mold (20) by a piston (21), and compressed while dry. Or the material can be compressed while wet, to be dried during or after the compression stage. An Independent claim is included for a disposable tissue (11) in the form of a face mask, with openings cut out for the eyes, nose and mouth. Preferred Features: The nose opening can be interrupted by two bars.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein komprimiertes Vliesstofftuch (11) und ein Verfahren zum Herstellen des komprimierten Vliesstofftuchs (11). Das Herstellungsverfahren umfaßt folgende Verfahrensschritte: Ausbringen der gewünschten Form des Vliesstofftuchs (11) aus einer Vliesstoffbahn (10), Einbringen des gestanzten oder zugeschnittenen Vliesstofftuchs (11) in eine Komprimierform (20) und Verdichten des Vliesstofftuchs (11) mittels eines mit der Komprimierform (20) zusammenwirkenden Komprimierkolbens (22) unter einem hohen Kompressionsdruck, wobei der Kompressionsdruck so bemessen ist, daß sich das Vliesstofftuch (11) nicht von selbst, sondern erst nach einem Befeuchten mit einer Flüssigkeit wieder entfaltet. <IMAGE>
