Es wird ein Verfahren zum Steuern des Anpreßdrucks der um ihre Achsen rotierbaren Walzen eines Quetschwerks beschrieben. Um eine hysteresefreie und im Fall eines Not-Stopps praktisch augenblickliche Änderung des Anpreßdrucks zu erreichen, wird dieser unmittelbar durch Einstellen des Achsabstands der Walzen gesteuert.
