Abstract (en)
In order to enable observation of the solid (three-dimensional) structure of a three-dimensional tissue and the relationship between the three-dimensional tissue and its surrounding tissue in one screen, the present method and apparatus extracts a three-dimensional tissue such as a blood vessel (K) from data acquired from a subject; produces a cross-sectional image of a cross section intersecting the three-dimensional tissue; produces a convex three-dimensional image visualizing the wall surface of the three-dimensional tissue on the front side relative to the cross section; and produces a composite image (Gs) of the convex three-dimensional image and the cross-sectional image for display. <IMAGE>
