[origin: WO9851593A1] The invention relates to a refuse collection vehicle which has a refuse collection receptacle with an opening (217) for feeding in refuse, a loading mechanism (201) with a space for receiving refuse (224), and a loading shovel which can be moved in said space for receiving refuse (224). Said loading shovel (206) is supported on a loading shovel holder (205). The loading shovel holder (205) is in turn supported on a holding arm (203) in such a way that it is able to pivot. The holding arm (203) is also positioned so that it can pivot around a swivel bearing (207) arranged on the loading mechanism (201). Both the loading shovel holder (205) and the holding arm (203) are configured as single-arm levers and are constructively series-connected to each other. A plate edge (222) of a refuse filling plate (219) moves along on the upper surface (223) of the loading shovel (206) in order to fill the refuse collection receptacle (2) with refuse, said loading shovel (206) being raised to the height of the lower edge of the opening for feeding in said refuse (217). The loading shovel (206) is preferably fixed rigidly to the loading shovel holder (205). The fixed swivel bearing (207) of the holding arm (203) is arranged eccentrically between the openings (217, 231) for feeding in refuse and the loading mechanism (201), as far as the opening (96, 231) of said loading mechanism (201).
