Abstract (en)

Secondary or tertiary alkyl hydroperoxides (I) are used as odorants. Use of hydroperoxides of formula (I) as odorants is new: [Image] R1>H, alkyl, benzyl or allyl; R2>, R3>alkyl; provided that (I) has a total of 6-18 C atoms. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) production of (I) by air oxidation of aldehydes of formula (II): (2) a odorant composition comprising a hydroperoxide of formula (I); (3) a odorant composition comprising an aldehyde of formula (II); (4) a cleaning composition containing a hydroperoxide of formula (I); (5) a cleaning composition containing an aldehyde of formula (II); and (6) production of the cleaning composition of (4) by exposing the composition of (5) to air. Abstract (de)

Beschrieben wird die Verwendung von Hydroperoxiden der allgemeinen Formel A <IMAGE> mit R<1> = H, Alkyl, Benzyl, Allyl, R<2> = Alkyl und R<3> = Alkyl, wobei die Summe der C-Atome im Molekül mindestens 6 und höchstens 18 beträgt, als Duftstoff, insbesondere zur Parfümierung von Reinigungsmitteln oder Kosmetikprodukten. Diese Hydroperoxide der allgemeinen Formel A sind durch Luftoxidation des entsprechend substituierten Aldehyds der allgemeinen Formel B <IMAGE> erhältlich. Sie besitzen einen sehr starken Bleiche- bzw. chlorartig-ozonigen Geruch.
