[origin: EP0982459A2] The base plate (2) for the motor unit is provided with an elongated guide rail part (1), one end of the guide rail (3) being slidably received and fixable on the outside of this part. A cavity (6) in the guide rail part has its open side facing the guide rail and houses a deflection part (10) for the drive belt drum. The opposite side of the drive wheel (5) to the guide rail engages with the deflection part. The motor unit comprises an electric motor and drive wheel mounted in the door frame region, along with a guide roll, a drive belt (7), a guide rail fitted between the door frame and power mechanism, and a sliding member moved along the rail by the drive belt. A push rod pivotably joined to a top part of the door is connected to the sliding member by an articulated joint. End switches (9) are used to turn the motor off when the door has been opened or closed.
