Abstract (en)
The window sill (1) comprises a composite plate of two horizontal layers, permanently bonded together. The upper layer (6) is a solid plate and the lower layer (5) a foamed plastic and/or wood fiber material and/or foamed glass of similar or less thickness than the plate. An independent claim is made for a window sill manufacturing process in which a composite plate edge (12) is inserted into a casting too leaving a free cavity, the joint between the plate and tool inner wall is sealed and the cavity filled with plastic to form an edge strip (13).

Vorgeschlagen wird eine Fensterbank, insbesondere für die Innenseite eines Fensters, mit einer horizontalen Platte wobei die Fensterbank (1) aus einer Verbundplatte mit mindestens zwei horizontalen Schichten besteht, die permanent verbunden sind, die obere Schicht die Platte (6) ist und die untere Schicht aus einem Schaumstoff und/oder Holzfaserwerkstoff und/oder geschäumtem Glas besteht, deren Dicke größer/gleich der Dicke der Platte (6) ist. <IMAGE>
