[origin: WO9853914A1] A filter for separating particles from air comprises a set of elongated, flexible elements (6) of electrostatically chargeable material, said filter being intended to operate in a duct (3) through which flowing air is passing in order to continuously bring said elements to move relative to each other and thus generate static electricity having the task of attracting even microscopically small particles in the air. The filter comprises one or more partitions (11) that divide the set of elements into several partial sets (6', 6'', 6''') and thus said duct into several partial ducts that each is completely filled up by the elements of the individual partial set of elements.
